History of The United States Minor Outlying Islands: The United Not States of America (8/10)12/10/2018 Hint Hint, Nudge Nudge indeed. So in my latest blog post, which I just completed, I talked about wether or not Palmyra Atoll should join the US Minor Outlying Islands. Short Answer, Yes, Long Answer, here till the end of the post. The US Minor Outlying Islands are an Island Confederation (no not that one, I do not support the KKK, Neo Nai's, Neo Confederates or The Westboro Baptist Church, they are giving Christianity and Southern States a bad rap, and that's coming from a moderate-liberal atheist!) of 10 Islands. Those Islands are: Baker Island, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Kingman Reef, Midway Atoll, Navassa Island, Bajo Nuevo Bank (Petrel Island), Serranilla Bank, and Wake Island. Although Bajo and Serranilla are disputed with Columbia, For the most part the are US run. Some of these islands have a population, highest being Baker Island and Wake Island (for any of you WWII buffs, hi, yes those ones) with ≈ 200 people each. The majority of these islands are military bases, but with some they are barley above the water. With the inclusion of Palmyra Atoll the total population of these islands would be ≈ 700 people.
